Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
If what you've done so far hasn't yet
worked sufficiently, you might consider
looking into changing something up,
either in regards to the meds, or even
possibly, your therapist.
Best of all things, to you.
Take good care.
You have to seek, and search to find what ticks for you in you personal life concerning failures and successes and work diligently in becoming a better you. I hope this help, take care
To fully grieve, this means surrendering to the sadness as much as possible and going into the depth of your pain. You may not be able to do this alone.
Medication is a temporary solution. It actually numbs our emotions and makes it all the harder to fully grieve. People who are put on meds either are too scared to tackle the real painful feelings (which is fair enough) and the therapists who prescribe them are often too fearful to contain their client's painful emotions.
Recommend you read 'Healing Through the Dark Emotions' by Miriam Greenspan (she has a website if you google her too. She's an amazing woman).
I've been where you are and am still struggling with the grieving. It takes time.
All the best,
Kirrily
Guin, I agree that you should try changing things up as Ilene states. Keep looking for solutions. Best of luck to you.
And I know I haven't really grieved because I still have to see him. He's been having me in and out of court for visitation for our daughter. I don't want him around and I don't care if I get child support but he's using our daughter to try to intimidate me.
