I have been away from my abuser for 9 months now. since he told me never to contact him again lol. little did he know that was the best advice ever. I'm in another much healthier relationship. he is the total opposite from my abuser. we are taking things slow cause he was in an abusive relationship also. other than that i worked really hard on becoming independent and got all my bills current and now am really focusing on me. my job. my finaces. my children. the healing journey with my children is the hardest. cuz a lot of trust goes out the window cuz they believe i chose my abuser over them. but focusing on them and spending as much quality time with them as possible has made the trust more easy. my son has become a gentle giant and loves takn care of the family.
My daughters have become smiling happy young ladies and i realize i have a lot to be proud of. my oldest daughter has become a loving caring mother of a 3 monnth old. in a relationship with a man who loves and cares and works for them. i have also realized that not only the abusive people influences there children lives. i pray that i have had a more obvious influence on there lives. And that each will grow to find happy healthy relationships.
as for me I'm so happy I'm not in that ugly relationship anymore. don't get me wrong I'm still human. At times i find myself missing him. but i have taught myself to think on other things. thanks to family and daily strengths support i am where i am at today. much lu
