Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
I was alone, he went to spend time with his family, while I went to work for 13 and a half hours, I loved the time away, and he called later and said he was drinking and wouldn't be driving home that night. I said ok. and I went on home after work and fell right asleep, woke this morning and ate breakfast with my children and we had laughter and peace for a little while. I was struggling alone though because I missed him, and wanted him to come home, I wanted to call him so many times to tell him to come home. But I refrained and let him have his time with his family. I waited until around 2 this afternoon and called, as I knew he was hung over very much so.
But as I was awake this morning obsessing over where is he, what is he doing, blah blah blah. I had to take control over my thoughts and try to think on other things. I tried praying, singing, I got up and did laundry. I visited with my children. In a sense I was really just trying to take care of me. But in the back of my mind he was there.
He called and said that I am invited to a mothers day dinner next weekend. I so bad want to go, but I have to work until ten that night. So I most likely will miss most of it.
We have been arguing a lot over the last few days and mostly it was because we are missing a lot of intimacy in our relationship. not on my part, but on his. I try to reach out to him, but he is cold, even when it does happen, it is mechanical and usually for his pleasure only.
Sometimes I wonder.........

I'm sorry you are going through this. You deserve a man that comes home every night, and if he does stay with family because he drank too much, comes home first thing in the morning.
I too was with a man where the intimacy was lacking and cold. I left that behind because I need and want intimacy in my life. Its normal, natural, and it feels good to be loved with intimacy as well.
Right now I am severely lonely, but in time I know that will change. I think I have to deal with my issues first and come to some sort of resolution of closure with them. Those issues being my mom and dad and still feeling alone in this world at 38. I have my kids and I am so glad I do cause I have no idea where I would be without them. They give me a reason to live. No man gives me a reason to live. I know exactly where you are with all of this cause I have been there and believe me, no man is worth what pain you are going through, NO MAN.. You deserve better.
