Phobia Support Group
A phobia (from the Greek "fear"), is a strong, persistent fear of situations, objects, activities, or persons. The main symptom of this disorder is the excessive, unreasonable desire to avoid the feared subject. When the fear is beyond one's control, or if the fear is interfering with daily life, then a diagnosis under one of the anxiety disorders can be made.
Thank-you so much for setting aside Agoraphobia.I didn't realize there were so many of us out there! I also would like to start two new groups one for dental cowards and one for clutter busters. Please let me know how I can set these two groups up.
I am excited to hear from other agoraphobics as where I live I only know of two others.
