Pet Bereavement Support Group
The loss of a pet or animal to which one has become emotionally bonded can be an intense loss, comparable with the death of a loved one. Whilst there is strong evidence that animals can feel such loss for other animals, this community focuses on human feelings, when an animal is lost, dies or otherwise is departed.

Licking my face
Begging for that last bite of my food every meal
Greeting me at the door
Trotting towards me in the yard with his ears flapping in the breeze
His happy smile
His wagging stub of a tail
His "bad" attitude with strangers...pretending to be your best friend, and biting your fingers off(OK...I know this should be on the other list, but I loved his personality)
His acceptance of our cat
His adaptability to different situations
His preference to me above all others
His joy of life...always...always...happy...all the way to the end...
