Pet Bereavement Support Group
The loss of a pet or animal to which one has become emotionally bonded can be an intense loss, comparable with the death of a loved one. Whilst there is strong evidence that animals can feel such loss for other animals, this community focuses on human feelings, when an animal is lost, dies or otherwise is departed.

i died when Rocky died . he was my only companion. i have no family, my parents are gone, my dogs are gone, never married, no friends, no siblings & i dont have ANYONE to talk to except on DS. im trying to hang on, but what for? so i can be alone the rest of my life. it'll all depend on where i end up at the end of June. i cant bring a new tiny dog here with all the leashless pitbulls. i got bit in the stomach a few years ago protecing my Rudy from a vicious dog. You'd have to read my journal -which i wouldnt wish on anyone- to know how sick i am & how hopeless. you neednt reply. i just needed to get the despair off my chest

I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my cat Lucy 10/28/13 and still miss her. I haven't had the heart to get a new cat yet. I also have no parents though have two sisters that I am not too close to. Hope that things get better for you. ((Hug))
