The loss of a pet or animal to which one has become emotionally bonded can be an intense loss, comparable with the death of a loved one. Whilst there is strong evidence that animals can feel such loss for other animals, this community focuses on human feelings, when an animal is lost, dies or otherwise is departed.
spent two hours on shared building computer today, to look up info/symptoms of liver disease...my cat might have it.
as is, he has elevated numbers in his blood work....was on iv just a week ago...he never really bounced back...yesterday to vet and got appetite pills...monday he threw up and threw up----that should have been enough, but i thought it was side effects from medication from thursday before.
lousy lousy easter weekend....my pets or my teeth have never had a good holiday...and have spent over 600 dollars on my poor cat since november....be willing to spend my last nickel if he be around for months, but it seems more likely weeks.
instead of bible, lots of bad pagen omens: two differant store calenders with photo of similar gray cat i put to sleep in 2006, other calander photo of presant cat i got in 2006 as replacement....tarot of misfortune past/malady present/letter future....two many strangers talking of their past cats
cried at vet an hour ago...gonna ask somebody in building where i live for maybe final ride...no family, or friends, pathetic me....all i have is this cat.
have at least, "thanks" to lot obsessing, decided to go to shelter as soon as cat is "gone"....save some cat stuck at shelter too long...this poor cat was stuck at shelter a year before i adopted him, in 2006....a new cat, to pretend its my right now cat...constructive instead of destructive of prior plans of throwing everything i have out, so no memories of what was

A tree outside where I live is dying, seemingly from dog urine----with the bully in my building going out his way to not only have his dog urinate there but to have the dog urinate on the fence and sign I bought to try save the tree----and then slide the sign under my apt door.Turns out that was a TRIGGER for me----bullying and humialtion right out of high school. it's certainly painful for anybody to have to deal with a loss of life....and then on a holiday by self.
went to walmart an hour ago to get away for about 20 minutes, on local bus; walmart packed with people as though enjoying christmas shopping....i can at least be grateful for apt building having internet i can use; i can hear the elderly tenants, probably with family members, right outside this open room..."the lonely crowd" as a book title goes.
right now i'm torn about what to do; a roller coaster ride of mixed emotions i had with other cats i had to say good-bye to...he's eating---but maybe only cause of an appetite pill that is masking his bad liver; a number of times he can't lay his head down to sleep, and on and on with contradictory good/bad symptoms; if he was somebody else's cat without my emotional detachement it would be easier.
Monday was terrible vomiting, tues/wed no eating, thursday appetite pill, friday i was scared cause all those days he didn't use the litterbox...
