Pet Bereavement Support Group
The loss of a pet or animal to which one has become emotionally bonded can be an intense loss, comparable with the death of a loved one. Whilst there is strong evidence that animals can feel such loss for other animals, this community focuses on human feelings, when an animal is lost, dies or otherwise is departed.
Take care of yourself now... In whatever way you can...
All my heart to you, Lila...
and thank you, Lilaolivia.
all the health info I knew, and would look up on internet----all went out of my brain during last year of worrying about my cat.
today start of radical diet and exercise, to, hopefully, not make anything worse.
thank you, again.
by 3 oclock today I drank 3 quarts of water (the leftover bottle I bought for my cat), 2 litters of tea, biked 9 blocks, popped lots of aspirin, and gonna be doing some more exercises at home later. Gonna also be buying some bagged lettece/salad fixings at store later, to force myself to eat.
tomorrow usual 4 mile total bike ride to walmart for milk thistle pills, to pop them instead of aspirin.
I was in some major dark hole when my cat was sick.
I think taking care of yourself and not over indulge is the best you can do for yourself and to honor Vincent. Everything in moderation is something my Mom used to say.
Please be kind to yourself. xoxo
my apt was a mess for a week, after my cat was gone...it was clean when he was alive, despite his throwing up.
coffee didn't help me, to get out of my depression, despite my pouring instant coffee crystals into everything I drank, including orange juice and soda.
yes, everything in moderation....I lived on coffee, to learn it high in iron, which is bad for your blood/liver, so, that's the end of that addiction for me.
my cat lived to be 20, which is more than one third of my life was spent with him, including over 20 hours a day together.
YOU have to watch out for junk food---too much suger can ruin your liver; my suger days are over.
milk thistle and turmeric curcumin, sold at walmart, is supposed to help with immune system; I've been popping a lot of them in the last week.
for about the last week, I've been forcing myself to eat a pint of tomatoes a day; lots of anti-oxidents....my hometown grocery store has grape tomatos for $1.99 pint, mix them with other healthy food, while watching sopranos dvds, with them constantly eating something with tomatos in it;)
