Pet Bereavement Support Group
The loss of a pet or animal to which one has become emotionally bonded can be an intense loss, comparable with the death of a loved one. Whilst there is strong evidence that animals can feel such loss for other animals, this community focuses on human feelings, when an animal is lost, dies or otherwise is departed.
Well as they say when it rains it pours right? Well I found out today that my aunt put her dog to sleep yesterday. I would dog sit for Kevia. (the dog). She was a liver spotted dalmation. Which means she had brown spots instead of black. She was a sweet girl and lived to be over 14 1/2 yrs old. She would have been 15 yrs old this Dec. She had been having a lot of problesm with her back legs. They did different medications but nothing was really working. At one point about a week ago she was dragging her back legs. Then she got a shot and she was walking again but still in a lot of pain. So then they tryed more meds. But she just couldnt do it anymore. So my aunt put her to sleep. :( Kevia was in too much pain. I miss her so much. She was a good girl.
Then I found out that two family member are sick in the hospital. They are mother and son. Both on dialysis. The mother has a clot and is in the hospital. But she should be ok. then her son is in the hospital and gonna have sugery to take his galbladder out.
My rat is still sick and he is not moving much anymore but I am holding him a lot and I wrap him in a hand towel and likes it. He will sunggle into it and fall asleep which he never does. So I know he is getting tired but just not ready to leave this world yet. I am ok with that. But I just dont want him in pain. The vet said he is not in any pain right now. So that is good.
When it rains it pours. Gotta try and keep my chin up. I love Kevia and miss her. I miss all my babies and love everyone in my life. I care for all of you on DS. Thanks for letting me write all this. Im sorry it is long.

Baby Boy is ok. he is laying in his hammic right now. So that is good.

I fell and have a black eye so my animal family has been sickly, except for Tippy the Tasmanian cat that brings us lots of outdoor creatures. Another stress for me. It's hard and I still cry for my Katie....sometimes I miss her so much I feel I might die. Then other times I accept it and say "surrender to what is" ...aren't i lucky to have had her live to old age.
