Pet Bereavement Support Group
The loss of a pet or animal to which one has become emotionally bonded can be an intense loss, comparable with the death of a loved one. Whilst there is strong evidence that animals can feel such loss for other animals, this community focuses on human feelings, when an animal is lost, dies or otherwise is departed.

Keegan is doing better, I stayed home with him two nights ( night shift at the hospital) On Wed nite he had his last seizure, all night I kept him calm, carried him where he wanted to go,I had to go to work last night and I was so sick about it, driving home I was sick to my stomach , praying to God to please let me see that little face when I opened the door, all the while reliving Giz's last day, God doesnt usually listen to me , I shouldnt say that but everytime I ask him to not take someone from me he does, think working for the sisters of holy cross most of my life would give me some pull with him but in the past it didnt help, he listened today, my Keeg was there with his little stubby wagging like crazy, the weight of the world was off my shoulders,I have all of you to thank, for all your kind words, support, prayers, I can NEVER thank you enough, hes not totally out of the woods but the meds are getting rid of the fluid in his lungs and one is making him comfortable , hes in no pain that I can see, his breathing is better, he does have a heart murmer, there is a problem with his heart but the vet said if these medications worked it would be a good sign, chances are he will be on meds the rest of his life, thanks to all of you there is a rest of his life ! I'm sure you know the panic, he was so bad tues nite all I could do was cry, I thought he was leaving me, I wouldnt be able to handle it, hes my chubby little baby, I need him like I need air,I have given up my life for my boys, they come before my own happiness and freedom, they are my life, Thank you is not enough to say to all of you, and I am so grateful to have you, God Bless you all Love and ((HUGS)))) Bonni

he is doing better, long way to go though, I brought him outside today and let him walk but I got nervous , looking for anything wrong , and I didnt like how he was walking and I got super nervous, scooped him up and brought him in the house, I talked again to my vet today and like they said ,I know hes sick but he doesnt, next week he'll have more tests and I'm just trying to keep him calm, til we know just what meds he needs, the ones hes on now are working but there are others and we need to know exactly whats going on with his heart, I'm just afraid that if I leave him I'll come back and he'll be gone, I need to get myself in the right mindset,I'm in my Giz mode, this has brought that horrible day right back , and I'm doing all I can to keep Keegan safe, I didnt with Giz, and it cost him his life,I live with that daily, almost two years and every day since he left me I see him ,Its torture when you know youre responsible for your baby boy dying, the guilt is overwhelming still, and now Keegan, Giz's baby brother,I know the vet and I will do everything we can, I dont care what the cost is, I've spent $7000 on Keegans health in less than two years, I cant lose him, my boys come before anything I need, god I am a mess
