Our boy died Tuesday 1/19. It was sudden, he was fine the day before. He was 10 but acted 5, still loved to play, eat and go for walks. I'm in kind of a stupor myself. Cannot believe how tough this is. So sending hugs and healing thoughts your way.

I'm not ready for another pup yet, but thiking of fostering homeless dogs, giving someone a home till they find their 'fur - ever' home. Hoping that will make it easier.

I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my cat Lucy 10/28/13 after 16 years together. I still miss her. I believe she is at the Rainbow Bridge where we will be together again one day. ((Big Hug))

I am very sorry for your loss. Losing a pet is like losing a member of your family. I had to put my dog down on April 16, 2015, her 12th birthday. She had bladder cancer that metastasized into her chest wall. It has been one of the most difficult things I have ever been through. She was like my child. I am still struggling with losing her. London was very lucky to have someone that loved him so much. If you ever need to talk about it, I will listen.

so sorry for you and losing your buddy...they are family and it hurts a bunch,....sometimes we know...and we prepare and other times nope just happens....it is not good either way believe me,...I prepared to lose Doc...I went to a shelter in Fayetteville AR from St. Louis...637miles round trip to get the dog that would replace Doc long before I lost Doc because I knew his time would come and I wanted him to train the new guy on the ropes around here...LOL I did that knowing that would be what Doc would like....he loved me very much....he was independent hunting dog who was also a house pet....he had sister that hunted with him for while but died of Lymphoma and need to keep her from suffering...

It is still hard....I know your shock at losing an unexpected dog too....I had one hit by car almost in front of me...I was down the street calling him...he came running across main street to be with me but never made it....van hit and cracked his skull....sad sad sad...heartbreaking....it was my parents and my pet....

I hope you know they will see us again when we go across the rainbow bridge with them to heaven! Hugs bill
