for me it took five months. my Suzie died in feb 2007 and I got Emma in July of 2007. we decided to wait a while before getting a new dog just to be sure that we even wanted a new dog and to allow us time to grieve the dog that we lost. my question is at what point did you decide to get a new pet after your previous pet died and why? I would also like to see some pictures.
