Pet Bereavement Support Group
The loss of a pet or animal to which one has become emotionally bonded can be an intense loss, comparable with the death of a loved one. Whilst there is strong evidence that animals can feel such loss for other animals, this community focuses on human feelings, when an animal is lost, dies or otherwise is departed.
So, 2 months ago, after two years of washing and rewashing waterproof blankets and throwing away pee pads because my cat with kidney problems was incontinent, he got a bad blockage. I took him to the ER and they injected him with antibiotics, but the next night he was spasming and shaking and in pain and couldn't pee, but was peeing a bit of blood. I had been fighting with my parter for three years about not putting down a happy cat who plays all the time, and I stood my ground. But after seeing him and researching his condition (likely FLUTD), I realized that this would most likely still keep happening, and he would have to keep being all stressed and forced to go to the vet. I didn't want to do that to him. He was 13 years old and had lost a pound and a half in 6 months or so, and it was the hardest decision I ever made. I ever looked in his eyes after they gave him the first sedative shot and if my partner hadn't been there, I would have stopped it right then. I saw a look of betrayal. I feel like I didn't give the antibiotics a chance to work. I feel a deep loss for someone that I was playing with and cuddling with and tending to all day long (I work from home). There's a hole. My partner, on the other hand, comes from a family where once a pet starts to cost more than afew hundred dollars or is "annoying", you put it down. We fought a LOT about my attention to him, and she was jealous, which is weird to me. Even now after he died, if she asked if I'm okay and I cry and say "It's Tiberius" (the cat), she is either silent or throws her own crying fit over how I must love him more than her. It's made me hold in a lot of my feelings about his death, and that's why I'm here. I need support from people who understand, and I will provide support as well. Thanks for listening...

I just applied for a job that is closer to home and more aligned with my college degree and work experience. It's part-time, but the pay is way better, and I hope to get it.

Nationalday.com proclaims September 28th as Self Aware Day. I took a few snaps of various core values lists and tried to pick my top five core values (kinda hard to only pick 5). But here are my top picks. Feel free to list a few of yours too:GodLovePeaceStability Compassion
