The loss of a pet or animal to which one has become emotionally bonded can be an intense loss, comparable with the death of a loved one. Whilst there is strong evidence that animals can feel such loss for other animals, this community focuses on human feelings, when an animal is lost, dies or otherwise is departed.

It was very hard those last two weeks of festivities (for some) without Moony and alone with Simba. First xmas and new year without my little girl and no one even came...
Anyway, more happier news!
On the 2nd I found an injured cat by the garden fence. After much coaxing he came and I could see he was hurt. I knocked at the few houses around my home (country, only 8 in the road), no one knew him. I then took it to the vet. I was rather shocked they were reluctant to do anything as the cat is not tattoed. I shamed them into cleaning the wound and getting antibiotics for free!!! I then brought it home and knocked on many a village door in vain. I put an ad in the lost-cat websites. One couple replied, their lost kitty looked very similar, alas, once they came and saw him, they realised he was not their furbaby. So I'm waiting for his parents...
I named him Lucky for obvious reasons! He's the same breed as Moony, though twice as big, male and with white patches. (pic in my album), which makes it hard as stroking his fur is like feeling Moony again! He's very loving, asks for cuddles all the time. I'm taking care of his wound which is nicely clean and have "frontlined" him (horrid tics!!!).

Sounds like someone may have dumped the cat and no longer wanted it. Good for you for you love and care!! Maybe Moony sent him to you. Happy New Year to you, too. (((Hugs)))

Not found owners yet...could it be they're away on holiday? No one has asked for a cat in the village mairie. It's obvious Lucky had a home though, he's a nervous cat but now very loving and completely trusting with me, feels at home inside a house and quite ok with my little demon Simba, although I only have them together in small controled doses so far...Lucky is 4 times Simba's size and I don't know if he's been vaccinated. New pics of the demons added:)
