The loss of a pet or animal to which one has become emotionally bonded can be an intense loss, comparable with the death of a loved one. Whilst there is strong evidence that animals can feel such loss for other animals, this community focuses on human feelings, when an animal is lost, dies or otherwise is departed.
i purchase Suzie at a rummage sale when she was a puppy. i remember the day i brought her home. my parents were so supprised as they did not know i bought a dog. wherever i was Suzie was also. when i purchased my first home Suzie was there. when i got married Suzie was there. when i went on vacation to the lakes Suzie was there. when Suzie was four years old she started to develop severe allergies and had to have shots every other week. she also had problems with her ears. as the years went on her problems got worse and she started to have kidney failure along with several toumors. In january of last year i noticed that she would pant all of the time even if she was not hot. in the later part of that same month she developed a massive amount of toumors everywhere. she devleoped toumors on her legs that began to bleed all of the time. she then developed a toumor in her mouth that started to push out her teeth and her mouth bled every time she ate. she was in a lot of pain. i decided that it would be best to have her put to sleep. it was a difficult decision for me but i decided that if i were to make heroic efforts to keep her alive it would be selfish of me and she would be suffering even more. i had her put to sleep on February 22nd 2007. eventhough it is still painful for me i believe i did the right thing. i am the kind of person who likes to get tattoos to remember different things so i thought i would get a tattoo to remember Suzie. when i had her put to sleep the vet took a paw print of her paw and sent it to me. for my tattoo i am going to have that pawprint put on my foot along with her name, the date she was born and the date she died and the saying my best friend forever. i am having the pawprint tattoo on my foot to make it look like she stepped on my foot.

I knew as soon as i lost her i wanted my first tatoo ever of her on my belly to the side a pic of her tranferred on to me with angel wings and her name but in my case just aft setting this up with a friend of mines tatoo artist friend i remembered something that when i have gotten surgery in the past i tend to get keloids so i thought oh no!!! I wanted what you did or are doing so bad so went to my doc and got two opinions on the chance of me getting keloids again and i thought no cause not surgery just a needle but to my dismay both docs said should not do it i could still have a 50/50 chance of getting the keloid
this is a scar that heals wrong like a bump so the tatoo would look bad around the needle part and i also always wanted a tatoo saying mom and dad one day but now notta but i am stubborn lol so i am just going to ask one more doc i want it so bad
If all is a not then i have already looked into a custom made ring to look like my cat and once i get my 3rd opinion or before i am for sure getting the ring with a nice engraving with her name of course as well and angel wings etc still thinking on all that but i have spoken to the jewler who is making this ring for me already

Let me know how that turns out or did alreads sounds amazing wish i knew about the paw thing but i got an ern with her ashes and that makes me feel good!
