Not quite sure what happened to you, but it sounds like a very toxic work environment.

I'd have gone to a supervisor if it was that bad. OR, I'd wonder if that other person was just stirring up drama.

But putting things in text is even more unprofessional than a face-to-face confrontation. It doesn't have to be an "FU."

Why was it told in confidence? Why could you not bring the two together and clear the air?

I had a 'best friend' for over a decade that tattled off to my ex every little thing I told her. My dumb ass took too long to figure it out... But once I did, I figured, "Just gotta deal with that, she's a friend and all."

Then she broke up with her boyfriend, a mutual friend, and she acted like a giant victim - yet stayed in his house, rent free, for five fucking months mooching off him while telling the whole town what a piece of shit he was. I snapped. I told him everything.

It's like, I did exactly what she did, but man... it was worth it.

Recently, though, I did put one of my best friends of all time in the same spot you put the confidant coworker. I feel terrible. Really terrible. It just came out, ya know? "She said this so you better tell me that." wah wah wah

if someone has truly fucked me over I cut them out of my life completely. I recently had a coworker literally scream in my face last week, manager did nothing..won't write her up. So I took myself off the schedule on the days she's there. Write email to boss that u refuse to work with a verbally abusive person. I plan on blocking her number as well. And now, she thinks she's had the upper hand but now my passive aggressive side is going to destroy her and she won't even see it coming. instead of texting this coworker of yours there were so many more ingenious ways to fuck her up behind the scenes, if you really want to be evil.

I do not suggest "evil" tactics- it's a good way to get fired. It's also not a positive way to live one's life and just feeds into dysfunction, IMHO.

Sad it did for a bit.calm down.... and now were not speaking to each other. . Makes for a awkward shift.. but her choice really im not gonna loose my stuff and act like a dumbass then she wins... she's a very manipulative person really. .i have to be smart and passive unless she messed with my hours or pick up shifts..then i will take action really. . I refuse to be walked on ..

OP I have learnt to let a lot go.

For example in the weekend my ex bf chose to have his new girl right in front of me, hugging her and glancing toward me to see if it had any impact.

It did, but only that I recognized the stupid game he was playing.

I said hi to them both and carried on about my day.

Of course it bugs me = im BPD and he designed it to...but people who do things like that simply aren't worth having in your life.
