Has anyone ever been so suicidal you did not care about your or anyone else. Today I almost had an accident and if it had not been for my reflexes the accident would have killed me and I do not care.

I told my psych/therapist about my suicidial thoughts, feelings and urges and I guess there way of handling this is to ignore negative behavior or talk. Does not really matter to me?

Just curious if anyone else has experienced this in their lives. I just do not care about anyone, anything or even me.

Yes,I have felt this way .I hope it passes for you soon.It angers me that your therapist and psych team treat you this way.I know they think this is effective treatment,but I disagree.its only hurt me and made me feel worse when my therapists could not even offer up a word of kindness or caring.Do you think you could get a new therapist? I hope you feel better soon..

I have felt that way before but since they changed my medications I get like that far less often

My psych does not know what 2 do. I went 4 a 2nd opinion and still nothing.

Yes, I completely know what it's like to shut down and not give a rat's ass about yourself; although I don't wish to include anyone else in any self-defeating tasks whether 'accidental' or deliberate..My feelings have been so chronic that to feel differently would be abnormal for me..I have given up on therapy or medication & since I live alone whatever demise I encounter only effects me..

I have no bonds withh anyone in my life at all.

If legal painless euthenasia was legal i'd be like "sign me up!!" but i'm not commiting anymore cruel acts on myself...my family did that and no giving them the satisfaction again.

mal66 i'm right there with you...i got no friends bonds,children whatever happens only affects me...and therapists and meds never did anything for me either but take my money.

I used to feel like that all the time. Now-a-days I just feel empty or numb to things...I've accepted it as a part of my personality by now.

I've felt like this for awhile. just feel dead and numb and don't care about anything. My life doesn't seem to be improving and just feel hopeless. My last attempted OD was this past December and I still don't care and have considered attempting again.
I do have kids but do not have anyone else in my life so I am very lonely and isolated.
