SPD? HPD? BDD? AVPD?

I have sensory processing disorder, histrionic personality disorder, body dysmorphic disorder, and avoidant personality disorder. Because of all this, I am not exactly welcome in a lot of places, and I do not feel like I fit in with everyone else. How can I feel like I belong? Does anyone else have these disorders?

I see that you are 15. How did you manage to get diagnosed with all of those? I'm interested to know.

I'm professionally diagnosed with SPD and HPD, but I am self-diagnosed with BDD and AVPD. It is difficult to get prof diagnosed with these, but it was a lot of extensive hospital visits, panic attacks, etc. to get where I am now.

The rule about personality disorders from DSM is that its not supposed to be diagnosed until after age 18. As you probably know, sensory processing disorder is usually first diagnosed in early childhood (before age 6). As far as I know, body dysmorphic disorder can be any age. Maybe collecting all these "disorders" is part of being histrionic? (not HPD, just histrionic). Are you in therapy? That might help.

PS: To me, being in therapy is a GOOD thing. If you can find a good therapist, he/she will help you clarify all these important questions you raise. I hope you can give it a try.
