iv been off and on meds for years they do help somtimes is there meds for bpd i get depressed and my doc says am not there nothing he can do just go to cbt can you tell me whot meds are you on and do they help i get times when my heads all over the place one min up down hate you love you whots going to happen if i go out its mad

DBT is better and aparently Prozac is a good one for us... along with mood stablisers.

im on welbutrin and epival. it works pretty good for me =)

along with the things ive learned in cbt and from reading up on BPD and therapy...

I don't know about you but I'll keep taking my medication, I'd rather that then hear radio voices, be so depressed that having a shower is a struggle or getting out of bed, or be all over the shop with raging emotions I can't control without being on meds.
I came off my avanza to go on cymbalta but it's not out here yet so after 2 weeks of withdrawals from just jumping off my doc has put me back on avanza until cymbalta comes out here in OZ.

I think your doc. needs to hear you. If you are having symptoms of depression, they should treat you for depression. If your moods are swinging all over the place they should give you something for mood stablizing.
My official identification is Major Depression, but I show symptoms of other disorders so I take meds. for ADHD &Bipolar etc. Meds. work differently on different people. Prozac did nothing for me but it was great for my husband. You and your doctor need to figure out what symptoms you are exibiting and treat those. You may have to try different meds. for diff. symptoms, but eventually you will find the correct combination.
