I've been on Zoloft (anti-depressant), Lamictal (mood stabilizer), Abilify (atypical anti-psychotic) and Klonapin (benzo). Right now I'm only on Abilify and Klonapin. I think that maybe the Zoloft might be helpful for you since it's an anti-depressant but that's only if you're depressed or anxious I guess and maybe klonapin if you feel unsettled a lot, but klonapin can make you tired.

Be careful with the Abilify. After about 1&1/2 years on it, I couldn't think of anything to talk
about to coworkers, etc.. I was very bothered by it and finally realized it was the abilify. Got off after about 1 month I wax back to normal... Thank u for your reply!

Hi, I have also found most commonly prescribed antidepressants (SSRIs like Zoloft is) take away ALL emotions and not just depression and negative emotions. Even negative emotions are better than no emotions at all. I was on Seroxat for more than two years (it's also a SSRI) and it did take my depression away, but the worst thing is that I didn't even notice that all my other emotions was gone. In all thing that needed no emotions, like work and chores I excelled, but I simply wasn't the same person as before. I broke with my girlfriend at that time while on that AD, lost all of my friends because for love and friendships you NEED do have emotions, and I had none at that time. When I finally quit the drug, I cried like I baby for two weeks and also had withdrawal simptoms, but at the same time I was happy to finally be able to cry. Only after stopping this med I was crying for my long lost girlfriend that I loved, friends that I liked spending time with so much, and all the other thing that I releised I missed while on this SSRI. Of course, my deppresion and anxiety came back, but I would rather have panic attacks every day, hellish deppresion, than being completely emotionless.
That's why I would advise against SSRI's, they have bad sideefects, and of cource the worst thing is the complete elimination of all emotions. Atypical antipsychotics like Seroquel which is sometimes prescribed off-label for depression are even worse. One psych doctor prescribed it to me once, but I quickly saw how it was working (in addition to killing emotions, I was a zombie with, it slowed my thinking process, I couldn't work), so I quickly stopped taking it.
Now I'm taking Wellbutrin XL 300 mg for depression and Klonopin 1mg 2 times a day for anxiety and it works very very well. Wellbutrin is an antidepressant, but not in the SSRI class and I don't have any negative experiences with it, only sometimes insomnia, because it is an upper. After years and years I finally feal alive again, rediscover old hobies which I never thought would interest me again, etc. Even making progress with relating with other people, like I started going coffee after work with my coworkers, which I never even considered before, and really enjoing it.
Unfortunately, I'm self medicating because no psych doctor would prescribe this to me, it was always only new types of SSRI's from them (Seroquel, Prozac, Zoloft, Fevarin, Effexor, etc), and they would never prescribe a benzo like Klonopin. Now I spend a load of cash for ONLY medicines that work for my conditions getting them off of black market, and I have a fully paid medical security - the only problem is I don't have a doctor prescribe this to me... Sorry for the long post.
