I just wanted to say that I do relate with you. I have a terrible time remembering my childhood and when I was a teenager I was convinced my life was a film. The person looking back at me in the mirror was a stranger.
I have had some therapy, not all that great I will admit, but as I got older and did some therapy I am starting to slowly feel better.
Sounds like you should go down this path.

I know it sounds simple, but when you are feeling like that, take a moment, close your eyes, breathe slowly and remember that you are here, you exist. SLOW everything down.
