Personality Disorders Support Group
Personality disorders form a class of mental disorders that are characterized by long-lasting rigid patterns of thought and behaviour. Personality disorders are seen by the American Psychiatric Association as an enduring pattern of inner experience and behavior that deviates markedly from the expectations of the culture of the individual who exhibits it.
You can also have both disorders which I think I might have mild versions of both even though I've not been diagnosed with either of them because I go through cycles where I'm more tired for a couple weeks and then I'm wired for a week or two and have trouble sleeping. I definitely am sensitive to criticism and will often lash out at people for this reason to the point of not speaking to them for a long time.
Having trouble sticking to a decision is another problem with bpd because when our moods change so does our opinions, when I tell my husband I don't want to do something that is a few weeks away, he often says well you will probably change your mind a couple times before then and I rarely end up not doing the planned event mostly because such activities do at least help with the boredom associated with bpd. My mother has an even more extreme history of doing this sort of thing. Love/hate relationships is another aspect where you usually either hate someone or love them there is no middle ground though for me I may say I hate someone but down deep I know I don't and my opinions often change back and forth on this for certain people.
Hope this helps some
