I think it's pretty normal to have ED and BPD. From what I've heard, recovery from BPD is definitely possible. Most people who have BPD get better if they try to. Things like finding a therapist you like and doing therapies like DBT seem to help a lot of people.
I have also heard of a lot of people with ED getting better, so I hope that helps you a bit.
Personally, I think reading about BPD and DBT (dialectical behavior therapy) online can be helpful.
it can definitely help if you put the effort in.
But the latest findings on it are very promising and now its seen in a whole new light.
It can be controlled and you can recover from it, basically BPD is a prob with being able to manage our emotions properly.
ED comes with having BPD sometimes.
With proper treatment it can be cured. And bisides all the negative symptoms of BPD, there are some good traits we BPDs have.
We can be very insightful, because we feel emotions a lot deeper than the average person we're capable of feeling imense love and empathy..........Ok anger too, but i was mentioning the GOOD things, hehehe...
I was diagnosed BPD about nine years ago. With therapy my symptoms have improved to the point I no longer cut, my fears of abandonment have subsided and I am mostly functional. I am still on disability due to bipolar but I'm hoping to come off disability one day. If you need any encouragement, feel free to contact me.
