Personality Disorders Support Group
Personality disorders form a class of mental disorders that are characterized by long-lasting rigid patterns of thought and behaviour. Personality disorders are seen by the American Psychiatric Association as an enduring pattern of inner experience and behavior that deviates markedly from the expectations of the culture of the individual who exhibits it.
I think one thing that has kind of been helping me is finding something I enjoy doing with my body, then doing it more often so I care more about how I treat it. For example, I really like working out, so I have been trying to do that more to convince myself that I need to feed my body to do this activity I enjoy so much. This can work with other activities like walking, hiking, yoga, running, biking, dancing, etc. I don't know if this helps at all, but I hope for the best for you and I want to let you know you aren't alone and this isn't your fault. You are doing everything you can to seek out help and support. Hopefully you have people in your life who you can talk to about this and who will support you through your recovery.
