I have been getting my hair which is extremely course and very thick cut by Chinese Hairdressers for years. If you have a Chinese neighborhood, I would recommend giving these talented Hairdressers a chance. Chinese shampoo is about 10 to 15 minutes. You lay down stretched out feet on a stool. The shampoo girl washes and massages your head, scalp, neck it feels devine. Then for the haircut, if the Hairdresser does not speak English just point to a picture or bring one with you. The language of love always prevails. A very talented Hairdresser can only use a pair of thinning shears, one mistake and there goes the length. These gals know their craft, if you want your hair razor thinned. Then the blowout, when all is finished just a little bit of oil for fabulous shine and stay. No hairspray is used. Wash, Cut, Blowstyle $15.00. I have paid as much as $20.00, but never more than that. Give it a try, if you have the opportunity.
