I wish that I could say that about myself. Ever since I started mirapex I've gained 40 lbs. I dislike it very much and hope one day I will be motivated enough to lose it.

Since I started taking the patch about 2 years ago I have gained 40 lbs as well. I cannot believe it. I will be retiring in June and I cannot wait to focus on the exercise and getting back to my Overeaters Anonymous meetings. I am hoping w/o the stress of my commute, my mother, job all of it will help me get away from food as my easy fix. I usually have a wait for my train at the Newark Penn Station and there is Mickie Ds, Sabarros, Dunkin Donuts, Baskin Robbins all of it looks good when I am tired and angry because I missed my train and have a 20 min wait to get home and then eat dinner on top of my Penn Station snack. He gets upset if I don't eat what he fixed for dinner.

I started gaining a lot of weight too and I am on Mirapex. It took getting violently sick for me to lose quite a bit of weight. So not sure if women do tend to have major weight loss issues and men don't. Interesting question to ponder though.

I lost about 20 lbs when I started taking azilect, 4 1/2 years ago. Started on sinemet 4 years ago. Have gained back about 3 lbs. Have never taken mirapex.

My husband has lost 25 pounds in the last 3 years. He did have lung cancer which was removed 6 weeks ago, so I am hoping that was the cause. I don't want him to loose anymore weight.
He weighs 222 and is 6' 3" so the weight is about right, but his face is so thin. I am not used to that as his face was always full and he had a nice smile.
