Yes, though not always. Fast movement in any direction tends to aggravate my balance problems and vigourous exercise makes me shaky and 'walking through thick syrup'.

Yes, over excertion,being in unfamilular places, and being amongst people I don't know too well are dead certs to set off "Mr Wobbly" as I jokingly refer to my tremours.... I asked my Neuro recently this very same question, and she said it's very common with PD.
I can be rock solid one minute then even someone I know suddenly appears whilst I'm out and about, and off goes the hands...& jaw.

I'm determined to beat this no matter how embarrassing it is, I mean how do you meet new people who then go on to be new friends and that may mean going to new places.

The saying "Biting the bullet" springs to mind....

Dirk, I'm still fairly new to all this but learning what triggers the shakes for me more and more each day... and sort of grand motor activity or work for that arm (pushing, pulling lifting etc) makes it shake more in the resting position... stress absolutely does, and being out in public especially if i'm alone with a bunc of strangers... just sharing that... i guess we're all learning!!! stay positive!!

Watch your diet as well. If you are low on blood sugar due to not eating on time, this can aggravate tremor.

WE need to remember we do need physical activity! Excercise is very important for PD.
