My team Young onset of Westchester / Bronx raised over $19,000.00 US and ranks us in the top ten fund raisers nationally. Through the fund I met Michael J. Fox and May May Ali, Mohamed Ali's daughter. I have been shamless in asking friends family coworkers and customers to write a check. In the past year I have volunteered for 7 different PD research studies. Fund raising and volunteering are my way of fighting. Pd is as good a cause as any to become proactive about. If the results of my efforts help speed a cure or better treatment of symptoms we all benefit. I encourage everyone here to volunteer for local pd research and fund raising you would be surprised how enpowering these activities are. Good luck and Good health to all. Alex

I need to see what we have going on up here in NH. I have plenty of time and nowhere to be. I agree with Annie, in that we seem to have a better attitude when we become more involved.
I need to heed your advice and try to become more active locally myself.
