Progression is really scary. I believe I just experienced "freezing". Started to walk accross the room and just fell flat on the floor. Seems like my body moved forward but my feet did not. Have been wondering what freezing actually was. Guess I will have to pay more attention to my feet. So far have only had tremors in my left leg. Just keep up the good attitude.

Trying to read paper while hoding it in my left hand has beecome a comedy rutine. i now have to change hands and hold it against my chest.

Thanks for all the replies. Yeah, I'm not gonna give up, I might give in a little, but I'm not gonna let it get to me.

I had to do some small repairs the other day and really have a hard time with small objects like nuts & bolts, screws, using wrenches & screwdrivers etc.
I'd work for a couple minutes, take a break, work a couple more minutes, take a break etc.
Probably takes me an hour to do something someone else can do in 10-20 minutes

Slashman, be patient with yourself. Your best is still the best you can do, even when it varies so, as ours does.

I have a hard time taking my pills with the tremors -- sometimes my hand throws them and I worry about the dog getting them. I take a boat load of stuff.

Do keep putting one foot in front of the other! :)

It was after 8 years or so when I first noticed my tremor had moved & started to effect my left side, mainly hand tremours. Progression is scary but don't the fear of it take you over. I just adapt, adjust & battle on regardless.

I'm with you. I've had stiffness and tremors in my left hand since some time in second half of 2012. A few months ago I noticed a pain in my right arms similar to my left about 4 months before I noticed loss of use and tremors. I'm feeling more stiffness in my right hand now, though it is still doing what I tell it to. I've had some very minor tremors, but normally doesn't. I can still type well with it unlike my left hand.

So I know it is coming. Stage 2. October will be about 2 years since I really began having problems with using my left hand. Left leg is getting draggier of late too. I'm sure freezing is in my future, but hasn't happened yet.

But we'll keep dealing with it. I want to keep writing my stories even if it gets hard to do.

This isn't about the tremors, but I noticed someone mentioned the freezing when they walk.
My husband and I went to a Parkinson's Conference this spring and a doctor was talking about his research on the frozen walk. (not the right term).
He showed different ways that they had a PWP walk and what happens.
First they has clutter near them and they walked with difficulty.
Then they put the clutter further away and they walked with more ease.
They also blocked their view of their feet and they walked with difficulty, and when they didn't block their feet, they walked with more ease.
They also showed some videos when approaching a door and then the person froze. I think the wider the door, the easier it was.
I am sorry but I don't remember if they gave any tips on how to handle this problem. It was a Canadian doctor who was MDS. I think and I don't know if he has any website on this subject.
