My tremor is present on both sides, but it is more predominant on my right side (I am right-handed). The Parkinson's tremor is a resting tremor unlike Essential Tremors which surfaces during activity. I also have found that my left side is now stronger than my right which, no doubt, is as a result of having to compensate for the effects of PD to my once predominant side. I feel like I have lost a lot of strength in my hands and finger dexterity. When meds are not working, opening jars, twisting off lids and using zip-lock bags are a major source of frustration and inconvenience for me.

I have tremors on my right side. Today for instance I have been upset and the meds are not working very well. Stirring is almost impossible, I have to use my left hand today. As time goes along I use my left hand more and more especially putting on makeup and eating at bad times. The meds work pretty well most of the time and I can use my left hand bettr with practice, but like TeeCee my left side is now stronger. My right leg also shakes especially when I am cold or tired or don't feel well. It's lots of fun.

My temors (on-again/off-again) are, for the time, only on my left side (dominant-left handed). I,too, can't perform many of the fine motor skills (stirring, WRITING, brushing, etc.)and must do some things with my right hand. Like Sassafras my meds work some days and some days don't especially if I'm tired, stressed, depressed (alot) and/or anxious(?)).

I'm new at this. I have a tremor in my right hand. It is a resting tremor. I have the same symptoms everyone has expressed. I would like to know if there are any natural remedies anyone is aware of. I have found tai-chi is very beneficial; both physically and mentally.

I have tremors on my right side only, they better just stay on that side!!! Although i have been told by my neoro that as pd progresses, it will go to the other side... Well im not having that!!!
