My daughter who lives close by tries to get me to do what she thinks is best for me and we dont always agree. She tried to get me to move but thankfully I couldnt afford it and I am a lot happier staying put with modifications to my home. Too much change is very upsetting to any PD patient. I think the drafting table should stay. Although my Parkinsons isnt as advanced as your Dads, I have still fallen several times had to have my daughter administer first aid on one occasion. I find that I am much more apt to fall if I am distracted in any way including people talking to me as I walk. I must concentrate on walking and absolutely nothing else to stay safe. I live alone so this is very important.
I have written maybe a bit too much but I hope this helps. Good Luck with your dad.
