Is this true, l keep hearing that their is a world wide shortage of sinamet? Please tell me its not. How can l find out

Just before he told me, I'd been with my prescription to my chemist, he told me that he has a problem with his supplier, he gave me the 22 Sinemet CR tablets in question and told me he would owe me the remaining 90.. after getting his supplier problem sorted.....of which he never has and still is having supply problems, so I had to get another prescription issued for the 90 that I was short of, and ended up going to another chemist and getting them with no problem.
Meanwhile it seems like this is an onrunning story..... I phoned a guy at a big hospital in the my area who's head of the pharmacy there and I told him to whole story. He told me that they had,had some problems getting hold of the Sinemet CR in question, and reassured me that I was not to panic. I take Sinemer CR 25/100mg too, but there's no problems getting them, just the 50/200mg strength.
The guy at the hospital also said that there are alternatives if by any chance things get much,much worse.
