One day I'm at work (seven years ago, as a secretary to a pastor) and I'm catching up on emails. This guy writes an email and signs it in response to something I had written, "LOL". I was mortified to think this guy I hardly knew was responding with "lots of love". I went to the youth pastor and shared what had happened. He LOL'd - laughed out loud and proceeded to tell me that it meant just that - laughing out loud. Then I did the same thing and laughed out loud. But the first message already went to my brain of "lots of love" and I could never look at that guy the same since!
