I registered for the Parkinson's Conference in our area in May.
I was surprised and glad that my spouse who had PD agreed to attend.
There are 4 speakers. One is speaking on How Medication Affects Cognition, another: Through the Looking Glass; Communication in Parkinson's Disease from multiple perspectives.
The other two: Freezing; How a Mysterious Clinical Phenomenon Can Enhance our understanding of Parkinsonism's;
and Not Defined by Diagnosis: Your Power to Rise Above the Label.
The speakers are MDS, Speech Language Pathologist , and others.
It should be interesting and I never thought my husband would be interested but thank the Lord for small miracles.

MY PARKINSON'S NURSE SPECIALIST ATTENDED THIS CONFERENCE, AS WELL AS THE PREVIOUS CONFERENCES.
SHE REPORTED BACK TO US, AS SHE ALWAYS DOES, SO AS NOT TO GIVE RISE FOR FALSE HOPE, THAT THERE IS NO CURE IN THE OFFING.
NURSE JANET REPORTED THAT THERE WAS VERY LITTLE MENTION OF STEM CELL REPLACEMENT.
INDICATING THAT MUCH WAS SAID ABOUT THE SLOWING DOWN /DELAYING THE PROGRESSION OF PARKINSON'S AND THE ROLE OF EXERCISE AND KEEPING ACTIVE AS A MEANS TO ACHIEVE THIS.

There is one lady that will be speaking that has Parkinson's.
This isn't a World Conference but put on by the Parkinson's Society.
I am just glad that my spouse is interested in going and hopefully he takes something away that he can do to help himself.
