I've recently been diagnosed for the second time.  Originally was diagnosed in 2015, have had symptoms since 2009. I was told in 2016 that I did NOT have PD after a DAT scan by a MDS.  Has anyone else had a DAT scan that was wrong?  I'm told it's about 80% accurate.
Next question...I'm taking mirapex that was like a miracle cure at first.  I had one dose increase but it is not working as well anymore.  Is that because we build a tolerance?  Or is that normal for any Parkinson's meds?  I can only get one more dose increase due to stage 3 renal failure.
Is there anyone else who's primary symptom is freezing gait?  Also does anyone else have a problem with toes curling under and pain (dystonia).  The only thing that helped it is clonazepam, which is a benzo and docs don't like to prescribe it.  And now, it's seemed to have stopped by itself.  No idea why.
I'm having difficulty with people hearing me.  I know about all the different therapies, but I don't have a car or the co-pay.  I've been singing my words, which works great but if any one could give me tips or exercises, I'd greatly appreciate it.
