Did you swallow pills at the start of this hour? If so, the stretching and twisting didn't do the trick, the passing of TIME DID as it takes an hour plus for the power of the punch to kick in. SOME folks set their clock an hour or so early and take a pill--go back to sleep and then after an hour passes get up. You must have a bladder of steel.
On occasion I have my husband give me a tug to get my shoulders up but if I sleep in my bed I sleep diagonally with feet near edge and can more easily roll out and up into a standing position. This does not always work.
The doctor told me that the extended release night tablet could cause the uncontrolled muscle jerking and uncontrolled movements. I am trying to wait as long as possible before I do that one.
When the second alarm goes off, I try to stretch some in bed before I try to get up. Everyday seems to be different, some are easier and some are harder.

I could try taking my Azilect in bed before I try getting up. Food for thought.
