I had these symptoms before being diagnosed with PD:
Started having hand tremors with the index and thumb.
Developed minor balance issues.
Started having over vivid violent dreams.
Slur in my speech
Sudden moments of panicked depression (and i don't do depression)
WWW asked if you have taken PD meds yet because a sure test is to temporarily put you on sinemet (carbidopa/levadopa) to see if you feel better and it relieves you of the above symptoms. If you have PD the sinemet will get rid of PD symptoms. If your symptoms go away after the trial use of sinement they will discuss with you the various types of PD drugs available. Although it is best to go to a movement specialist neuro. As I said, I had all of the symptoms you listed above and within a month (some times it takes as long as 3 months) the symptoms were gone including the anxiety attacks and depression. If the symptoms are not relived they will keep searching to find out what is wrong with you.
I would rather have PD that Huntington's Disease!!!! With the diagnosis of PD it is rough but I must always remember it is a disease that can be controlled through symptom relief and it gives me time.
But like my last "drug holiday" illustrates, without the Sinemet, I get a whole lot worse than I am without it. I should day without the L-Dopa. Sinemet is just one way to get that.
