My mom has a Parkinson's disease, she needs to take different medication 8 times a day. I put them in the boxes, but lately she is been forgetful a lot and misses the doses or don't remember when she has taken last time. It's really a big problem. I went online to see what pill reminders are available but can't find the one that would work for her. Please advice if you have the one you really like?

I have seen a wrist watch that has different alarms on it, I think, but I don't know how many you can set. .
I asked the man who had PD where he got it and he said from Sears. I believe he said the make was Columbia or Columbis. This was in Canada, but hopefully the States carries the same brand.
I haven't looked into it, but you might try that store, however, I don't know if this would help your mom, but it might.
I know it's hard to remember and 8 times a day is rather much for anybody, Good Luck.

Hi!!!

I use a Timex Ironman watch. It has three alarms on it. I used to have one with 4, but I don't remember which brand it is, but I think I got it at Radio Shack.

I got my Timex at Walmart or Kmart. They are pretty common.

Also, many cell phones have multiple alarms as well. My T-Mobile HTC has 4 alarms.

I combine the two, and I'm set.

From what you describe, tho, It may be time to get some additional help for your Mom, if possible.

I don't know her age or general condition, but I expect you are aware that many people with PD also move into dementia. Maybe you should consider having her doctor check her out. It can also be her meds need adjusting.

I found setting the alarm on my cell phone was the best way to remind me to take my medication.

I can't even explain how I feel some days. I feel helpless. Last several month her memory is getting worse and worse.If I ask her many questions she start crying and I feel guilty. How can I deal with it?

Yes i agree with the reminder watch alarm, or mobile phone alarm, I sometimes forget to take mine... we are rather lucky that we have the option of electronic reminders.

I was having this same problem. My medication is dosed at 8 times a day. I went online and found a pill box with 8 alarms. Go to www.tabtime.com. Hope this helps, it has been wonderful for me. Good luck to you.
