Hi peachy, I guess I know what you mean, but even on my bad days I still manage to pull myself through. I do think about the future but stay, always stay optomistic and hopefull for a cure this illness.... I pray for the day that it gets it's ass kicked for good, and that you, me & sooo many others are see the benefit....

I hate going to see my neurologist. It is so horrible to see everyone else who has pd, much much older than I am. I look at them in wheel chairs, etc, and think l will be like that, way way younger than they are. Scared to death l will end up not able to look after myself, possibly in my mid fifties.

My walking is getting worse all the time.

Hi Peachy, There is just no two ways about it, this disease sucks and it is scary to think about our futures. There are just so many things that can happen to us. There is just no easy way to deal with it. I do believe that we need to think about our future and even plan,as best we can, for it but don't let ourselves dwell on it.
I not only have PD, but I also have neuropathy in my legs, so now it is a double whammy. My balance and walking are becomming more and more a scary problem.
Life just doesn't seem fair sometimes and it's not! But we can't give up or give in. That only makes things worse . This is why I'm so glad for all the people here. I believe we all care about each other and that helps give me strength. I know it's hard, but try to keep a positive attitude and remember your friends here are always here for you.

When I'm having what I feel is a bad day Peachy, I just look around and see or read about those is far worse shape then me. Don't have to look far as I'm caring for my Father who has stage 4 cancer and never complains. That humbles me pretty quickly . Hang in there friend.

Yes, we all have our days when you wonder whats around the corner,but everyone with or without PD has the same feelings,so dont dispair.You seem to be a very positive woman and so always count your pluses and not your minuses. As regards the future there may be a cure sooner than we think or better medication,so its not a definite life sentence and parole is just around the corner,so be happy and keep in touch with the group of us. Hang in there peachy... you seem like a tough cookie to me.. i think it's normal to worry but i guess the trick is to not let that consume us.. A realist has to look to the future somewhat but... we never know what the future will bring us so you do what you need to do and not dwell on what "may" happen... now i'm going to go try to take my own advice!!!

Got another neurologist ,,,yep another one got hammered about having dbs for years allways told them no, they had been doing clinical trials in flordia, the trials turned it is not as good as they thought,,,my neurologist told me yes you where right. score one for the home team. GERMANY is now taking Patience so I hear for adult stem cell therapy i was about ready to call the airline and get a ticket . I made a point of being up from with all my md 's 2 yrs ago now I got uteran cancer ,,you must be 5 yrs cancer clean before they will talk
