We have an Electric Weed Eater Grass trimmer which I actually bought for myself when we were at another residence and my husband used a gas trimmer as we had a bigger area to cover. We sold the gas run trimmer thinking the electric one would be suitable to trim by the fencing, etc. However,. It's just a cheap trimmer and when the spool needs lengthening, he has to take the whole darn thing apart which is difficult and it bothers his back.
The area between the fence board is only 4 inches, and the grass grows in that area.
My question is do you guys or gals know of a good quality electric trimmer that a PD patient would be able to handle to trim around the fence? He needs one where he can easily adjust the spool without taking the whole thing apart.

I think the one we have is called a Weed Eater and I think it was the bottom of the line at CTS(Canadian Tire Store if there are any Canadians out there). We do have a Home Depot in the next city, so but not a Lowe near by.
Our neigbor uses a manual trimmer but that would be even harder on his back.
