Oh My Gosh, Peachybum after the last discussion of "I dont believe in God and this is why" has now started a political discussion. No not really, but i thought this might be very interesting to chat about. After all we dont have to talk about PD all the time.
What do you all think about this .
What in the world happened in America. I dont understand how the sub prime disaster occured.
I walk in to a bank in America i am either unemployed or have very low income, and i want a loan, i want to buy a house.
Hey, right at that moment somebody should have kicked me right out of that lending institution, that was going to lend money that i cant afford to pay back, or maybe l should have analayzed my own financial situation, did some homework and thought, Gosh i cant afford this, but no,,, lets go for it.
I am offered a loan, lovely honemoon period of a low interest rate for a few years, but somewhere down the line, well l know that the interest will go up, and my repayments l cant afford.
Get the loan any way... REDNECK LOANS (no offence meant)
So then the banks think, okay lets sell this debt down , lets package up the debt and sell it to companies that buy debt. Well what!! What stupid orginisation would want that debt, but yes they were out there.
On and on and on... I could rattle on about how it started, and all of the steps in betweem.
but what now , peoples retirement funds have lost 25% scarey, America in Recession, but pretending not to be. World banks dropping interest rates, to inspire confidence, back... People still panic-ing selling off shares, share market still crumbling, rippling around the world.
When it all settles as it will , but who know when, as it still in imploding upon itself.
the share market will be a fantastic place to play in.
I pray that their wont be a depression,big possibility l think
Put your money into something tangible l say... GOLD

I remember my grandmother talking about the depression, and what they had to do to survive.
No Governments can magically help that situation.
The bail out package that has been introduced, Well I hope that the American Government knows how to administer it, properly.
All the classic signs of what happened in 1931 , are right there now.
