I did not react with anger or tears at first. My panic was how long do I have before I can not function. I have always been the caregiver and now as this is getting worse I find I am needed to ask for help. That is so hard to do.
Anger is one of the steps in the "Grief" process, and we all go through them at different times. I hate what this illness has done to my family.
I hope you have a family that is willing to learn about this illness and be there for you and help you. There will be many stages of emotions that you will go through. This is a great group and I know they will help support you as much as they can.
My son told me that it was the best illness to get because of the large amount of research going on there will be new meds and such to help improve our quality of life, maybe even a cure.
Hang in there, this is just a new chapter in your book of life. Many people are able to continue with their jobs, and regular life for many many years.
