Dizziness, Walking & Great Shoe

I got the greatest, most stable shoe for walking (which is a problem due to constant dizziness and wobbles). It is made by "Keen", a well known brand and is called the Whisper Sandal.

Easy to put on, can wear with or without socks (no, it doesn't look dorky), and like walking on a steady surface, or bare feet! No pains, no pinches, no aches and easier to get up and down with them.

I got a pair for my birthday today after I saw a neighbor lady with some. You can google them on line to look for best price. Completely washable, no tricky shoelaces to trip you up as the laces are different.

I am SO excited! (This from the lady who loved "Candies" high heels most of her life)

Thank you for the information about the shoes. I spend most of my time barefoot because I can't always tell where my feet are in relation to the floor when I wear shoes. I have had the worst time trying to find shoes that were easy on the feet, easy to get on and off, and at the same time provide some structure for walking. The fact that they are washable is a super ++.

Hi Annie thanks of the information . Where can you get them on line, do you have the address of the store on line. I am for ever looking for good shoes. i was like you high heels, all kinds . I got rid of them because only flats are useful .But the do no slide well stick to the floor.

A place called Gander Mountain carries them locally. I am guessing (after 62 years of shoes) that an average pair would last close to at least 3 years. I normally do not pay too much for a shoe because they are only "safe" for a short period of time, and then they get floppy and loose. I bought one pair on sale for $64 and my husband bought me the purple/brindle ones for my birthday yesterday. I went to Walmart, and had what normally might have resulted in a "face splat", be just a wobble :)

They do not "stick" on the floor -- I don't usually hype products, but being able to get up and down easily, without my usual uncertainty made this a share.

I would recommend trying one on locally to get your right size. They are "foot shaped" like Earth Shoes used to be, so my little square foot fits right in without requiring any breaking in (which my mom always assured me was a sign the shoe was the wrong size).

I do miss the drop dead high heels -- but I'd be an accident in progress. Love you guys! Annie

I have a pair of those. lol They have been in my closet for years. We bought those sandals when we went to Dominica and did a lot of water sports there. They are also good to use to protect your feet when swimming. They are very comfortable - but they are not my normal style of sandals - but who knows for the future LOL

Deb, I get what you're saying :) A few years ago you could not have beaten me into wearing them (like saddle shoes back in the day). But I've so come to value the illusion of safety that I just wear them anyway. I have very square feet (a family trait) and so finding a pretty sandal with tread and an ankle hold on strap is difficult. Did find one pair at Rosses, and kind of save them for things like Church, or out somewhere.

But I will always miss my high heels!
