also from aug 2013 from me........"i excercise HARD 10 hours a day despite fatigue, meditate and yoga and follow mitochondrial/hunrter gather diet, supplement with multiple neuroprotectants, winter cherry, ginseng, NAC, AL-carnitine, creatine, green tea extract, chocolate, Vit E and C in high dose, lots of homemade fish oil, etc etc etc. Lots of kale, sprouts etc.

I GOOGLED treating Parkinson's without meds and found 2 interesting sites - and a book by Janice Walton-Hadlock, "Once upon a pill". Some interesting stuff. It sure has me thinking. Bag of tricks:
"Brain Food"/ Mitochondrial Health promotion./General health needs. Most in supplement form.
Target.....CoQ10 1,200-2,400 mg a day as ubiquinone or 200-300mg as ubiquinol.
Creatine..1,000-2,000 mg per day
Omega 3's 900mg daily, DHA 255mg,EPA 647mg, Vit D3 1000IU per day appx.... from fish oil or grass fed beef, preferably deep sea fish such as anchovie, cod liver oil, etc. Black cod oil is one of the richest.
Vit D 500-6,000 IU's daily
B complex B6 B12 B9 B1 (l-dopa blood brain barrier crossing blocked by some of the B's but are still crucial to healty neuro.)
Acetyl L Carnitine 1.000-2,000 mg daily
Green Tea extract 725-1450 mg daily
Trans Reservatol 250-500 mg daily
Probiotics with every meal
Curcumin 400-1200mg daily
Melatonin 1-5mg once a month for 3 day's
N-Acetyl-Cysteine 600-1,800mg daily
Lipoic acid as R-Lipoic 300mg-900mg daily
Mucuna Pruriens (L-dopa) (dopa bean) 300-1200mg daily standardized!
The above target the brain for the most part and i take the minimum suggested. "
