I met with my MDS this week. He conducted the 18 month clinical trial that I took part in.
He said that the results showed that 1mg of Azilect taken daily during the early phase of PD slowed the progress by 40% to 50%!!! That's enormous! If anyone is in the early stages of PD, make sure you ask your doctor about this medication! I've had no side effects.

I was glad to see new information about the effectiveness of Azilect as a medication to slow the progression of PD. I started using it two years ago for tremor and it did not help. I then started using Myrapex which worked, but the Dr. told me to stay on the Azilect. Wow! that percentage is great!!!
