We have some similarities. I am 59 with children and working. I was diagnosed only
a year and a half ago.
I started on Azilect and time-released levodopa this last fall. It is the best medicine I have been on, so far. I tried other things the first year, and they all made me very ill. I do have some pain in my joints, muscle pain and stiffness, which are all common side affects of Azilect.
But these side affects are so much easier for me to tolerate than what I dealt with on the other medications. I am so happy the doctor that put me on it suggested it, because no one else had. I hope this helps.

When I first started Azilect I experienced pain and cramping in the elbow and upper forearm on my left arm. It disappeared after a few months though.

I tried it for a week and i could not tolerate it. good luck.

i have joint pain and muscle cramps sometimes. I now take azilect at night and started yoga twice a week. really helps. Also i take glucosimine for my joint health.

Thanks for the input, Sandylip thank you for the yoga suggestion i am starting a program with a personal trainer i'll talk to her about it also i'm going to neurologist today so will ask about the glucosamine i never know what goes with what meds these days... does that seem to help your joint pain?
