so nice to see a familiar face, honestly i am looking forward to DBS as I am not so great, I maintain a happy positive attitude that fights the body that is not that controllable, and now I understand PD.

Hi peaches. I am approved for DBS they said pick a date and I said after boating and fishing seson ends October 15. keep in touch and let me know how great your results are. apparnatly we have similar timeing.. I will have it at Mt saini in NYC.

Thank you , I'm really looking forward to it . I have no hesitation at all. Hoping I can last 12 weeks . Meds are messing with me , can not predict on or off times..although I think the majority of my off time is diet related. Any clues for a good diet , I take meds 2 hourly , on empty stomach , am now avoiding protein as my gastric digestion is as slow as ever . Any clues for a good diet ?

Hi Peachy, I don't visit dailystrength as much as I use to. The site runs to slow for me. It's as is the site has Parkinson's. I have to agree with you on the on and off times. I've been doing Tai Chi for four years now. And I feel better after I'm finished. Also, exercise with big movements (really big) movements. I've developed a bad habit not taking meds at the same time each day. My bad, Just too much going on. So I'm working on that. I swear the meds at times cause some of the symptoms. I fight Mr. Parkinson with every fiber in my body. Good to hear from you.

bcbid, come on now a smart guy like you can manage to follow instructions on a pill bottle that say stake every 2 hours. Use the alarm function on your smart phone. note I said take every 2 hours not steak every 2 hours lol I found that it makes a huge difference if I don't take meds on a strict time scedual. /with in 10 minutes of directed time

Hi Peachy I am here not on the site all the time. Had knee surgery and now busy going for PT. Not much time left or internet. I am glad for you getting the DBS, hope you feel better. Nice to see you.


Brian com on you must take your meds on time . set your alarm . Not a rocket science .Taking meds on time is important .

Peachy good to know you are back. You sound so happy about your decision for DBS, I hope (know) it will go well for you. My doc and I have started talking about it so not sure how much longer for me.
Brian, I hate to say it but I am also guilty on the pill times. Yesterday I forgot a whole dose, luckily it didn't affect me too much.

Nothing especially exciting to report. Keeping busy staying out of trouble.
PD has moved off of Square One. Keep trying different cures. None have worked so well, but the beer baths were fun.
