Sweet, and we deserve it. My sweet son was 7ish when Mama began dragging the Left leg. It's hard to watch your mother go downhill for years but he used a lot of humor along the way...mocking me in good fun in front of a living room of teenage boys. One thing I treasure is that PD kept me here, in the middle of his life, not out helping others or buying supplies. I didn't miss his growning up or the amazing relationships with all his wonderful friends. Our home was always full of boys/young men. I was avaliable to proof college papers and so on. There are a few choice blessings I can thank this unwelcome guest for.

God bless moms and parents of all types. I have been so thankful to have been blessed with a child. It took 11 years, and 22 since.

Yes humor goes a very long way to helping us get through tough times. We had a son who became a total quad due to a car accident at age 32. Mom and I brought him back home to provide his care in 2004. He always had a great since of humor and a huge smile on his face. I figure if he could cope with that, I sure as heck can cope with having PD. Sadly he passed in Oct of 2012, but he still had that good attitude even when faced with death.

To me, this makes me having PD a minor issue that I can surely learn to cope with. My wife is and was a great mom, so mothers day is very special to me.

I know is late , but I want to comment on this year mothers day. For the first time I was completely happy on this day. MY husband and my son talk all afternoon. Even my daughter in law got in on it and instead of bragging about her , haw she handled situation at work or whom she fired . She actually participated intelligently in the conversation.My son did not repeat him self once and my husband didn't criticized once. It was great , the best mothers day I ever had.
