Hello, everyone. I should have introduced myself before posting, but proper sequence is highly overrated in my life. I don't want to bore you (You can read my profile if you're interested) so let me just say that I initially came to Daily Strength when my husband was diagnosed with inoperable esophageal cancer in Oct 2011. I eventually realized that Daily Strength hosts other support groups, and that I need all the help I can get, so here I am! I'm 61. Was diagnosed w/Parkinson's in 1999, and in 2000 had to leave my beloved teaching career. I live in the central Jersey Shore area.( While I've never watched "The Jersey Shore," I DID run into The Situation & his buddies at a local coffee house). I look forward to becoming acquainted with you.

welcome..I;m new here too, but I feel like I have a great group of new friends. they all seem to care soooooooooo much. It's nice to be able to get on line all day and see what is going on in pwp lives.
