Parents Whose children have been sexually abused Community Group
This group is for parents whose children have been sexually abused. We welcome both Mothers and Fathers. Here, we can offer support to one another. We can vent, cry and lift each other up. No condemning or criticizing allowed. We are here for support. We LOVE (((HUGS))) !
1) We dealt with it when I spoke to our detective: "According to monster boy, your daughter started it at least once." And THAT was why he justified it was ok for this kid to rape, torture & abuse my then 4-8 year old daughter?! After his last surprise visit to our property, my daughter nervously sat swinging, waiting for him to leave before she broke down crying and collapsed into fetal position say i ng she hated life because she had been diagnosed with PTSD...but the detective said outright "we'll, your daughter looks happy enough! I think she'll be over this in a couple months and then you guys can move on with your life!" 2 1/2 years later...I have a large box of journals that prove otherwise.
2) Then when I allowed my 2 older victims to share with the church kid's group leader: "What were you doing under the Bush, playing patty cake or something?" Was his response to my daughter telling him that she'd been sexually assaulted nder this bush that still had her dirty rainbow yarn hanging from it holding a sharp stick that monster boy used to stab her with "when he forgot his knife." "Did he really hit you with a fist or was it more of an open hand?" This leader dared to ask my special needs son after he related a story of monster boy cornering him on the playground and "punching" him in the stomach.
3) Then when we got to walk the the inside of the church for them to confront those memories of abuse I actually heard "well, your daughter must be doing fine because she seems pretty happy!" This was in response to her skipping down the hall to the baptismal where she courageously climbed the stairs to the baptismal where she told me she was raped.
4) We find a new children's group to attend. They seem safe and like they will support us. It's at our old church where my oldest actually used to attend and I used to teach! The family pastor asks one of us to put in an application to volunteer since they need help and we just sit there on campus the whole time. I do, with great stats...been at the same church for 14 years, nothing in my background check, my references are between 10-23 years and include current higher up leaders that are part of their church and my experience (15 years of teaching the specific group I'm applying for) includes working at this actual club, I was even a part of this club and my name is on one of their award placards hanging in the halls of the church, I even include the official letter from CPS stating that our children are safe and that the case is closed per his request...but they also ask if we have ever had a CPS investigation, to which I answer honestly but request that they ask me for specifics. He knew A LOT about our case before asking me to volunteer. At 1st he says the elder board has made the decision to not let me help, to which I ask if he even read my application and he admits he hasn't! Then, supposedly doing his due diligence, he actually reads it and talks to the elder board again. The next week he tells me "my hands are tied. Sorry but they'v decided to NOT allow you to help in the club." Once again, the monster family has destroyed my ability to move past the trauma and try to live a normal life.
I started this strand because I want others to not be afraid to stand up for what is right/truth. Share your victim shaming experiences here but Don't stop telling the truth! Don't be afraid to be the voice for the victim!
Providentially, the child's group leader was removed from his position of leadership on a matter totally unrelated to us. And the higher up missionary Of the kid's club, the same one I sent a packet to detailing the pastor/kid's group leaders response to our disclosure of abuse and he is 100% on our side, is willing to go to bat to prove I'm a fine fit and that they're holding the victim accountable for a sin that isn't theirs; he agrees with me that the pastor is wrong in his decision to not allow me to help. I told him I'm burnt and don't care because I won't help even if they change their mind. But it's something! Even the biological mom called CPS & the police on monster parents because monster boy/girl told her stories of physical abuse from their adoptive parents and showed bruises & scars to her...but they left early the next day to leave the country so once again escaped.
Anyways, this was a good enough reason to break my "fast" and post here. There's more but this is the main thing I wanted to focus on right now. Hope everyone is doing ok?! May God Grant you a moment of peace during this trial...and soon.
You're dealing with blissfully ignorant men who would prefer maintaining the status quo to accepting reality. I'm glad, at least, you have the missionary on your side.
It was good to hear from you, even if what you had to share was distressing. It's important to let that out.
